This is called the Space Time Composite by its inventors.
Each layer is a single timestamp, but some operations provided to follow changes in vector features (objects) as their non-spatial attributes change. Derived from snapshots, hopefully redundancy removed. Research implementation only.
Note that geometry does not change.
