OO GIS at Ispra

Project Vision: To establish at Ispra a permanent centre of expertise in object-oriented GIS technologies based around an in-house developed and maintained OO-GIS research application based on a commercial OO-GIS product.

Current Task List

  1. Acquire hardware
  2. Acquire IGIS 3.1+ documentation and read to determine if tasks need to be added to the plan.
  3. Acquire and install IGIS 3.1+ software
  4. Examine delivered IGIS 3.1+ software and determine whether the complete CLEVER Mapping application code is present to use as template.
  5. Edit CLEVER Mapping template to match CORINE land cover classification.
  6. Install and configure the C-integration part of IGIS 3.1+ with C++ compiler.
  7. Integrate Paul Smit's C++ code with IGIS C-integration.
